In recent years, more than twenty teachers have been sent abroad for further study in either long-term or short-term programs, to conduct joint research as visiting scholars, to attend international conferences, or to serve as Confucius Institute’s Volunteers.

Zhou Hongbing, an associate professor, visited the University of Wisconsin-Madison from August 2014 to February 2015 and conducted research under the guidance of Professor Lucas.

Bu Jing, lecturer, visited the School of Modern Languages and Cultures of Durham University from August 2015 to January 2016 to learn the empirical research methods in translation studies and the eye-tracking methodology in Translation and Interpreting Studies.

Yin Qin, lecturer, visited as a scholar in the Department of French Language and Literature at Bordeaux Montaigne University from 1 March to 30 August 2016 in France.

Shang Qi, associate professor, visited Durham University from February to August 2017.
